On September 16–17, 2026, Mai Thu Packaging JSC participated in a series of printing industry events held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.

From the Ho Chi Minh City Printing Industry Economic Forum 2026 to the national seminar themed “Vietnam’s Printing Industry – From Manufacturing Capability to Value Creation,” the two-day event provided Mai Thu Packaging with an opportunity to meet, exchange insights, and connect with businesses across the printing, paper, and packaging sectors, while sharing practical perspectives on market demands and the export activities of Vietnamese manufacturers.

Day 1: Exploring International Market Opportunities for Ho Chi Minh City’s Printing Industry

On the afternoon of September 16, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Printing Industry Economic Forum 2026 was held under the theme “Finding New Business Opportunities for Ho Chi Minh City’s Printing Industry.”

The forum focused on changing market dynamics, opportunities to develop new sources of business, and potential directions for printing companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises.

One of the key sessions was the panel discussion “What Do International Buyers Look For?”, which brought together two practical perspectives: that of international buyers and that of Vietnamese businesses currently participating in export markets.

During the discussion, Ms. Nguyen Mai Minh Thu, Chairwoman of Mai Thu Packaging JSC, shared insights from the perspective of a Vietnamese manufacturer actively serving international markets.

The discussion addressed practical questions faced by exporters: What do international buyers truly consider when selecting a supplier? Is price the deciding factor? What should Vietnamese companies prepare in order not only to secure orders, but also to build long-term partnerships within global supply chains?

The discussion highlighted an important shift in perspective. Instead of starting with the question, “What products can we manufacture?”, businesses should first understand, “What does the market need, and what problems can we solve for our customers?”

Day 2: From Manufacturing Capability to Value Creation

Following the first day’s activities, on the morning of September 17, 2026, the national seminar themed “Vietnam’s Printing Industry – From Manufacturing Capability to Value Creation” was held at SECC under the leadership of the Vietnam Printing Association.

While the first day focused on how Vietnamese businesses can access new business opportunities and better respond to the expectations of international buyers, the second day expanded the discussion to a longer-term question: How can businesses increase the value they contribute throughout the supply chain?

As requirements for quality, technology, sustainability, and export standards continue to rise, competitive advantage is no longer based solely on the ability to manufacture according to specifications.

Companies in the printing and packaging sectors need to continuously strengthen their capabilities in technology, product quality, design, materials, and the ability to provide solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.

This is also the direction Mai Thu Packaging continues to pursue: moving beyond packaging manufacturing to become a partner capable of supporting customers throughout the development of effective packaging solutions.

Two Days of Connection – One Shared Focus on Value Creation

Mai Thu Packaging’s participation in the two-day printing industry event series provided valuable opportunities to connect with businesses, industry experts, and partners across the printing, paper, and packaging ecosystem, while gaining further insight into emerging market developments.

From the Day 1 discussion, “What Do International Buyers Look For?”, to the Day 2 theme, “From Manufacturing Capability to Value Creation,” both conversations addressed a common challenge: how Vietnamese businesses can participate more deeply in global supply chains and create greater value within them.

For Mai Thu Packaging, this is also an ongoing journey of investing in manufacturing capabilities, quality, product development, and the ability to meet the increasingly diverse requirements of both domestic and international customers.

Mai Thu Packaging – Continuing to Connect and Create Greater Value for Vietnamese Packaging

Participating in industry events is not only an opportunity for Mai Thu Packaging to expand its professional network, but also a valuable way to listen to the market, exchange knowledge, and identify new opportunities for Vietnam’s packaging industry.

Following the two-day event, Mai Thu Packaging continues its journey toward developing higher-value packaging solutions that address real customer needs while progressively strengthening the competitiveness of Vietnamese packaging products in international markets.
